Women on the Santa Fe Trail – Adult & Family Program

Join presenter Marla Matkin as she takes us 200 years into the past! Matkin will give us first-person portrayals of three women and their experiences on the Santa Fe Trail. Matkin, a Kansas native, historian, and scholar, says the women on the trail “were by no means silent bystanders, but active participants in the trail experience.” As this year marks the 200th anniversary of the Santa Fe Trail, and as we get closer to this summer where we will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of Dodge City and the 115th of the Dodge City Public Library, we hope you will join us for this excellent glimpse into history. Please register to attend this in-person program held Saturday, March 26th 1:30pm-2:30pm at https://dcpl.libcal.com/event/8947907.
