The Kansas Heritage Center is a research library and archive at the Dodge City Public Library. Our collections focus primarily on the history of Dodge City and Ford County, though we also have some materials relating more generally to the history of the state of Kansas and to the American West. Our collections document Dodge City’s history from the 19th century to the present day.
The Kansas Heritage Center has a wide array of resources available including books, an extensive collection of digitized newspapers, photographs, subject files, and an archive filled with historical papers and other materials. We are open to the public during regular library hours, and are located on the lower level of the Library.
