On the night of the full moon, Wallace got bored and decided to look at our list of programs on our Event Calendars. Suddenly, he got a surprise visit from the ghost of his long-lost grandfather, Wiggliam Diggindirt III. It spooked him so much, Wallace’s color got scared right off of him!

After he calmed down, Wallace spent HOURS catching up and talking to his ancestor. They played board games, watched movies and TV shows, and even bought a couple books from the Friends of the Library (with OUR money. We’ll talk to him about that)…

After a long night of quality time, it was time to say goodbye. They watched the sun rise in a real tree, since Wallace had only been in the Reading Tree. With the daylight approaching, Wiggliam Diggindirt III soon vanished as quickly as he appeared, promising to come back someday soon to visit his grandson. Wallace got so tuckered out from all the fun last night, that he fell asleep right on the tree. He didn’t wake up until the next day! When he came back, he thought it would be a fun prank to pretend to be kidnapped, so HE wrote the ransom note.
